Day 11 2015-2016

Day 11 brings us to our 2nd Block Day. We are still needing some practice graphing with Graphical. I think we are starting to get the hang of it. We also need some time to finish our Hot Wheels Write Up from the first 2 weeks. We are also starting some physics problems.

Day 10 2015-2016

Day 9 brought us the revelation that we needed more practice using Graphical Analysis by Vernier.

Day 9- 2015-2016

Day 9
We started to learn how to use Vernier's Graphical Analysis App on the iPad. We discovered that it does not behave like Excel.

Continuing testing 3 variables that may or may not affect speed.

Day 7 2015-2016

Day 7 we introduced the concepts of speed, average speed and instantaneous speed as well as the universal algorithm for solving physics problems.  We took a look at Usain Bolt's Beijing World record splits and calculated average and instantaneous for his run. Then we worked on the Hot Wheels Lab. Some people chose to us the Go cars instead. One group used their GoCar as a dog .

Day 6 2015-2016

Day 6 we learned how to use Notabilty and Schoology to submit a practice assignment in which they had to be creative and tell me about themselves. I learned that I need to foster more creativity in this year's group.  Some where exceptionally creative.

Day 5 2015-2016

Our homework for day 5 was to answer the question of how would your dream class operate. We got into groups by playing the subversive grouping game and discussed then shared what our dream class. I learned that their idea and my idea weren't that far off. We also talked about frame of reference and why that is important. The subversive grouping game is great exercise to illustrate there is more than one solution depending on how you look at things
